About MaryBeth
MaryBeth is a Temple University graduate and Roxborough native currently living and teaching Tae Kwon Do in the North East. MaryBeth has studied under several well known Reiki masters, including Djuna Wojton and Danielle Stimpson, and continues to attend classes, workshops and Reiki shares to further her knowledge and skills. MaryBeth came to Reiki though her love of Martial Arts, Qi Gong, and Yoga. Reiki is a natural extension of the mind/body work practiced in these disciplines. Focusing on the Ki (or Chi), Rei-ki seeks to cleanse the mind, body, and spirit of negative energy, thoughts, and blockages that prevent us from feeling and being our best. While it can be relaxing or energizing, most people report a response similar to that of "yoga bliss".
My Reiki Lineage
All Reiki practitioners (whether masters or not) have a direct lineage to the founder Master Usui. Many students stay with one teacher throughout the course or their reiki training. I have studied under several reiki masters, in order to get a broader picture, learn different techniques, and deepen my knowledge and practice. I continue to attend reiki workshops and shares on a regular basis to keep learning, and to keep myself in balance.
